A Creative Montage
This Piece is just a little bit of everything. I experimentied with different color pallettes, textures, cartoon styles, and dabbling a bit with album cover, video game, and movie art styles.
This was an early one of mine, done at the begining of the summer. It is based off of the album art for a band called IAMDYNAMITE. It had such an amazingly chaotic and awesome album cover i knew i had to try this out.
I enjoyed making these ones a lot. I love working with repeating and intricate patterns so the shading techniques made them easy to make but in the end a very rewarding piece of art.
Because i like graphic design and digital art, i often experiment with many different color palattes and combonations. These are all obviously the same picture but i feel that the alternate color palattes of each one give every picture its own personality and mood.
I often like to base artwork on the art style of video games. There are many games out there that have fantastic art styles. The game i based this picture off didn't have the best art style i have ever seen, but it was so incredibly terrifying that i felt that it needed some sort of tribute. The game is called Vanish and basically you were a worker in the sewers being chased by blind creatures that were slightly humanoid but incredibly messed up. Even watching a Let's Play on YouTube made me jump whenever the monsters popped out of the darkness.
And finally, this picture was created out of the sheer frustration of a lack of inspiration. Pictures like this make me happy i actually got all of these done. Phew!
